Boy, was I dead wrong. 

You want to turn your business into a graveyard, ask for money before you’ve added any value.

What separates humans from most other mammals is the ability to think critically. Sometimes this thinking ability is put into question. The fact that Donald Trump is a front running candidate for presidency really makes me wonder.

But aside from the occasional brain farts, us humans are relatively smart.

We’re not stupid. And we will remember how you tried to screw us. Even if it was less than a McDonalds happy meal.

At worst they’ll smear your reputation — and deservedly so.

So what’s the best way to make money on the internet?

Focus on getting positive attention!!

It’s the most valuable resource on the inter-webs.

You may think money is more important. But let me ask you this: “are people willing to spend money to get attention?”

Hell yes!!

It happens on a daily basis.

Billions of dollars are spent on advertising every single day.

Money is invested to get attention, in order to make more money.

So there!!

You have your answer.

The easiest way to make money on the internet is to get people’s attention.

Attention is also known as traffic.

That’s what us online entrepreneurs call our audience.

There are two types of traffic.

The first type of traffic is organic. These are the visitors that stumble upon your content from 3rd party sources.

Common organic sources include: Google, Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, etc.

The problem with organic traffic is that you don’t control it.

At any time, Google can slap you from the rankings.

If your business depends on an organic traffic source, it can be taken away from you.

On the other hand, the second type of visitor comes from “paid traffic”

Of course, with this traffic source you actually have to spend money.

Which many of us are reluctant to do.

As long as you can make a profit on what you buy, however, this is really your best option.

Think about it…

If you make $2 for every $1 you spend, how much traffic can you buy?

As long as you have at least one dollar, you can buy limitless traffic.

Because every time you invest a dollar, you make two.

Once you’ve created something of immense value, making money is easy.

If what you created is truly valuable, people will pay you to have it.

And as long as you make more than what it costs to buy their attention — you win.

They do, of course, win as well.
